The Los Angeles Lakers will play the Sacramento Kings tonight at the always frenzied home court of the Kings, Arco Arena. The Lakers’ first round match up in the playoffs depends on the outcome of this game, as well as the result of Golden State’s game against Portland.
Currently, Golden State and Los Angeles are tied in the standings at 41-40. This game tonight against Sacramento will not only determine whether the Lakers play Dallas or Phoenix, but it will also be a deciding factor in determining if it was a “wining” season. If they lose, the Lakers will be a .500 team. Nobody, especially Phil Jackson, wants that.
No matter who they draw in the first round of the playoffs, the Lakers will have their work cut out for themselves. Dallas and Phoenix both have vastly superior records, and can score at will against most teams. The Kings, who are currently eighth in the NBA in points per game, will be a good trial run against a team that can score points in bunches.
Los Angeles Lakers tickets for the game tonight will be to the last tune-up before the much anticipated postseason. Check out StubHub.com for some seats to their playoff home games against either the Mavericks, or the Suns.
