LeBron James scored the last 25 points or so in the Cavs’ win in the Eastern Conference Finals last night. Or something like that. But who cares?! Nobody around here in Laker country, where 100% of everybody’s focus is on Kobe: what he really wants, what he’ll get, how will the Lakers react, when is his next radio broadcast, are there any more demands, how can we please you, Kobe?
There hasn’t been this much off-season Kobe drama since that whole rape thing: but there’s a pattern here, don’t you see? First she was raped, then she dropped the charges. Kobe wants a trade, now he doesn’t and he never said anything like that, but actually he did. Somebody get Sean Hannity on the phone; we’ve got ourselves a “flip-flopper!”
So sit back, relax and enjoy the Demand Circus like me. Probably this time tomorrow Kobe will be demanding that the bishop of Canterbury annul his marriage or that we “come alone” to the dock, or maybe even he’ll want a timetable for withdrawal. In the meantime, you can always look for great Los Angeles Lakers tickets at StubHub.com. That is, unless Kobe has demanded them all.
