Shaquille O’Neal is shining brightly with the Phoenix Suns-and he’s about to give the “what for” to his old team, the Los Angeles Lakers. The Suns are doing particularly well on the court…perhaps thanks in part to the big bulky O’Neal who, and let’s be frankly honest here, does not quite fit in with the rest of the of the shorter, speedy little crowd on the team. According to an article by the Associated Press, “O’Neal has no desire to be a star with his new team, saying that the roles of superstars belong to Nash and Stoudemire.” O’Neal has also noted that he is more like a senior adviser to the younger guys. In fact, he’s labeled himself as “the old guy with the long beard, like in basic karate movies.”
The question is: will he have the right moves and will he channel the right power to overtake the Lakers, who he admits, is a very real tough Pacific Division foe. Apparently Shaq will be in the game for about twenty minutes, as he will be in the starting lineup. We will see if O’Neal can show his fellow teammates how to use the force within them. Either way, it’s bound to be a great match…with two teams that both have mastered their technical skills on the court. Be sure to catch the upcoming game, and get your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets as soon as possible.
