The Lakers Best the Wizards!

March 31, 2008

The Wizards couldn’t pull any tricks out of their hats this time around as they fell to second place in a game against the Washington Wizards in the Sunday night game.  The Lakers walked away with a final score of 126-120 in overtime.  The victory was much needed for the Lakers as they are now within one game of the Western Conference lead and finally snaps a two game losing streak by the Los Angeles based team.  Former Laker player Caron Butler sent the game into overtime with a game-tying three pointer that was late in the fourth.

A statement released by Lakers coach Phil Jackson says, “We feel like we are going to have to win 57 or something like that if we want to finish at the top of this heap.”  The Lakers will have to stay on top of their game, because they will have to gear up for more action when they host the Portland Trailblazers on Wednesday.  Don’t miss out on this exceptional basketball team live on court.  Tell all of your friends and family about the upcoming Lakers’ game and get your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets.

The Lakers and The Grizzlies Go Head to Head!

March 28, 2008

This Friday we will see just how the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies can match up against each other. But the L.A. Lakers will have to tackle the Grizzlies without the help of one of their star players, Pau Gasol, who is sitting out because of a sprained left ankle. Gasol admitted on Thursday that he was upset that he would miss facing the Grizzlies on the court…as they are his former team. In USA today he was quoted as saying, “I was definitely looking forward to playing. It was hard to accept that I wasn’t going to be a part of the game…..It would have been nice and special.” We will see just how special it is, when the final score appears on the scoreboard.

Los Angeles is currently tied with Houston and San Antonio for the second best record in the West, and they trail the conference leading New Orleans by one game. In the their last game, Kobe Bryant was ejected from the court after picking up two technical fouls during the fourth quarter. With the Grizzlies coming off of a 107-106 overtime loss to Sacramento, they be be all geared up to win tonight’s game. So the Lakers better be on their game. The Charlotte Bobcats Outshine the Lakers

March 27, 2008

Everyone seemed to be so sure that this would be a guaranteed win for the Los Angeles Lakers.  But the Bobcats trampled the Lakers 108-95.  The Bobcats were coming off of a 128-106 loss at Utah on Tuesday night and immediately established themselves as the better team in taking 57-44 halftime lead.  Kobe Bryant, the Lakers’ star player drew two technical fouls in a small span of 29 seconds in the fourth quarter and was ejected from the game.  This most recent loss dropped the Lakers into a three way tie for scond place in the Western Conference with Houston and San Antonio.  They currently trail the New Orleans Hornets by one game.

The Los Angeles Lakers could have used another one of their star players, Pau Gasol, who missed his seventh straight game with a sprained left ankle.  He hopes to return by next Wednesday.  Lakers coach Phil Jackson was quoted on the AP as saying, “I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not until Wednesday that he plays again.  We’re hopeful it’s Sunday.  We’ll have to let time take its course.”  Don’t miss out on your opportunity to see this dynamic team, with all of its talented players, with your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets.

The Lakers Look to Remain Dominant on the Court!

March 26, 2008

After their win against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers seek to keep a hold of their prestigious place in the division.  Kobe Bryant was quoted on USA Today as saying, “It was a huge win, especially for us.  You have to remember we are still not playing with two starters, who are two key members of our ball club.  We are undermanned, but we are still playing very well.”  The Lakers will try to reclaim first place in the West on Wednesday when they host the Charlotte Bobcats.  The Lakers are currently back in the first place slot in the West, although they trail New Orleans by percentage points.

Los Angeles will likely do well against the Bobcats who have currently lost six of seven after a franchise record five game winning streak.  They recently lost 128-106 to Utah last night.  It will take the help of key player Bryant along with Lamar Odom, who has been one of the main reasons that the Lakers have not faltered lately.  Keep your eyes on all of the superstars on the court and be sure to get your own pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets before they all run out!

The Lakers Rebound!

March 25, 2008

The Los Angeles Lakers improved their game on Monday night, besting the Golden State Warriors on the court.  According to an article in the San Jose Mercury News, “A Lakers foul set up the Warriors for an inbounds pass with 4.0 seconds left.  Ellis tried to burst from the four man stack and clear space for Davis to receive the ball.  But Fisher stayed in front of Ellis and was either knocked over by Ellis’ momentum-or slipped and grabbed some of Ellis’ jersey on the way down, depending on your viewpoint.”

Kobe Bryant, the Lakers star player sank the last of his 30 points, with 23 after halftime, with a pair of clinching free throws with 3.3 seconds left in the game.  Thus the Warriors’ attempts to take a season series from the Lakers, a feat they haven’t done since 1994-1995.  This most recent loss leaves the Golden State Warriors just half a game ahead of Denver in the fight for eighth place in the Western Conference standings.  Make sure that you catch Los Angeles live in action with your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets.

Warriors Trample Lakers

March 24, 2008

The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Golden State Warriors 115-111.  Thanks to the star player of the evening Stephen Jackson, the Warriors proved their worth on the court when he scored six of his 31 points on two three pointers in the final 38 1/2 seconds.  The Warriors hadn’t beaten the Lakers in Los Angeles since they won 114-110 on January 22, 2003.  Kobe Bryant tried his best to match those efforts put forth by Jackson by making two 3 pointers in the last 56.4 seconds, but he could not rise to the occasion and the end result was the defeat of the prominent Lakers.

The win turned out to be the second straight win for the Warriors over the Los Angeles Lakers after recovering from a nine game losing streak to their in-state rivals.  Golden State won despite being out rebounded 60-43.  The Lakers are trying to retain their top spot in the division and unfortunately this was quite a setback for Bryant and his star team.  However, there is no time to dwindle on losses, it is time to look forward and try and wrestle some more wins in the weeks to come.  Don’t miss out on seeing the Los Angeles live, make sure to act now and get your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets soon!

Los Angeles and Seattle

March 21, 2008

The Los Angeles Lakers are back on the court tonight, once again out to prove that they are still the best team in the West.  They will take the Seattle Sonics head on at the Staples Center and this is the fourth and final meeting between the squads.  The Lakers have the advantage as they are currently 3-0 against Seattle this season and have successfully captured five in a row overall int he series.  The Lakers remain a half-game ahead of the New Orleans Hornets for the top spot in the Western Conference playoff race.  They own a one game lead over second place Phoenix in the Pacific division.

The Lakers are 2308 as the host this season, while Seattle has really been dropping in the marks lately.  They have thus far lost seven in a row as the visitors and they are remembered for losing 14 straight games earlier this season from December 31 to January 27.  Of course miracles do happen and perhaps this is just what the Sonics need.  Let’s see who takes the cake tonight, don’t forget to tune in and if you are lucky, get to the game well in advance with your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets in hand.

Lakers, Still the Best in the West?

March 20, 2008

The Los Angeles Lakers are truly hoping that they can hang on to their top position in the West as they traverse across some stormy weather.  Is this a foreshadowing of things to come?  The Lakers are of course not accustomed to this sort of downpour, as they are from sunny southern California, where the sun shines most of the time.  The team is looking towards their star player, Kobe Bryant, who incedentally is suffering from a torn ligament in his pinkie finger, but regardless of the injury he has carried them to countless other victories in the past few months.  Unfortunately in a game against the Mavericks on Wednesday night, he also jammed a hip.

The Lakers will definitely have to be on top of their game because they will want to make sure that they hold on to their lead.  Los Angeles fans have been watching all of the action closely and are hoping that their favorite team will prove once again that they are made of the stuff of champions. Don’t be doubtful, make sure that you catch the Lakers live in action, because they certainly know their way around the court.  Get your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets from Stubhub.com.

L.A. Sails To a Win

March 19, 2008

The Los Angeles Lakers have succeeded in edging out the Dallas Mavericks in a game last night with a slim lead of 102-100.  Of course much of the thanks goes to star player Kobe Bryant who threw 29 points into the mix and made seven assists.  Even with the expertise of player Jason Kidd the Mavericks ended up falling short and Bryant once again prevailed as a star player.  After this game Los Angeles climbed to 46-21 and they are now tied for the lead in the West. Lakers fans were relieved to have Los Angeles once again prove their worth on the court after several disappointing losses in the past few days.

There is no doubt that their win was slim, but it was enough to please fans across the country.  They even accomplished this feat without the help of injured star player Paul Gasol.  The Lakers are now in a tie for first place with the Houston Rockets, whose 22-game winning streak was broken by the Boston Celtics.  Make sure that you keep an eye on all of the teams in the NBA, because exciting times surely lay ahead.  Tell all of your friends and be sure to get your own pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets as soon as possible.

What’s New With the Lakers?

March 18, 2008

The Los Angeles Lakers are seeking to rebound tonight after their recent losses and they hope to come out on top against the Dallas Mavericks.  The Mavericks, on the other hand are looking to end a six game slide tonight and they are hoping to bury the Lakers and add the total of their recent losses up to three.  The Mavericks have won five in a row to remain only 2 1/2 games behind the conference-leading Houston Rockets, but all five games have come against losing teams from the Eastern Conference.  Tonight will really test the team to see if they really can emerge top tog.

The Los Angeles Lakers are hurting a bit after their recent losses, but they are hoping to fully recover tonight in Texas.  They have been knocked out of their first place standing in the conference on Sunday as the Rockets extended their winning streak to 22 games.  Los Angeles last lost three straight games in late January, so let’s hope that they don’t repeat that same fate tonight.  Los Angeles is noted for having lost four straight games at Dallas and five of seven to the Mavericks overall.  Get your Los Angeles Lakers tickets from Stubhub.com.
