Lakers, Still the Best in the West?

The Los Angeles Lakers are truly hoping that they can hang on to their top position in the West as they traverse across some stormy weather.  Is this a foreshadowing of things to come?  The Lakers are of course not accustomed to this sort of downpour, as they are from sunny southern California, where the sun shines most of the time.  The team is looking towards their star player, Kobe Bryant, who incedentally is suffering from a torn ligament in his pinkie finger, but regardless of the injury he has carried them to countless other victories in the past few months.  Unfortunately in a game against the Mavericks on Wednesday night, he also jammed a hip.

The Lakers will definitely have to be on top of their game because they will want to make sure that they hold on to their lead.  Los Angeles fans have been watching all of the action closely and are hoping that their favorite team will prove once again that they are made of the stuff of champions.
