The Lakers and The Grizzlies Go Head to Head!

This Friday we will see just how the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies can match up against each other. But the L.A. Lakers will have to tackle the Grizzlies without the help of one of their star players, Pau Gasol, who is sitting out because of a sprained left ankle. Gasol admitted on Thursday that he was upset that he would miss facing the Grizzlies on the court…as they are his former team. In USA today he was quoted as saying, “I was definitely looking forward to playing. It was hard to accept that I wasn’t going to be a part of the game…..It would have been nice and special.” We will see just how special it is, when the final score appears on the scoreboard.

Los Angeles is currently tied with Houston and San Antonio for the second best record in the West, and they trail the conference leading New Orleans by one game. In the their last game, Kobe Bryant was ejected from the court after picking up two technical fouls during the fourth quarter. With the Grizzlies coming off of a 107-106 overtime loss to Sacramento, they be be all geared up to win tonight’s game. So the Lakers better be on their game.
