Isaiah Rider, who was a player for the Los Angeles Lakers, was just arrested for auto theft on March 29th in Los Angeles, California. Rider, allegedly rolled a car through a stop sign in the early hours of the morning, and after being stopped by police, they determined that the vehicle was in fact stolen. The troubled former basketball star was sent to jail and was given a $25,000 bail.
Rider played for both the Los Angeles Lakers and also for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was sentenced last year to seven months in the Marin County jail for kidnapping a women and it was also reported by the celebrity website TMZ.com, that he was also arrested for narcotics possession and evading officers earlier this month. While Rider may not be faring so well lately, his former team sure is and are fresh off of a win against the Washington Wizards.
