Gasol Makes His Return

The good news for the Lakers is that one of their star players is back. Pau Gasol made his re-entrance onto the court on Wednesday and the Lakers are hoping that he is back to stay. In a game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Gasol scored 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds and block in 32 minutes of work. The L.A. Lakers finished with a 104-91 victory. Gasol was off of the court because of an injured ankle, which occurred on March 14 in a loss to New Orleans. Since he has been on the sidelines, the Lakers have been counting hte days until Gasol’s return. They are seriously hoping that he is here to stay.

In a quote on YahooSports.com Gasol was quoted as saying, “Obviously it’s my first game back and I have to get my whole body used to this kind of rhythm again. But I feel satisfied. I feel happy, just real happy to be out there.” His teammates were also thrilled to have him backing them up on the court, especially his outstanding passing skills. The Lakers have been hurting recently with several losses in the past few months and hopefully the return of Gasol will guarantee them more wins in the near future!
