Lakers Try to Best the Trailblazers

The Los Angeles Lakers are working hard to extend their winning streak to five games tonight when they take on the Portland Trailblazers at the Rose Garden.  The Lakers are currently two games ahead of the second place Phoenix Suns in the Pacific Division standings and they are looking to hold on to their lead tonight.  They are however 1 1/2 games behind New Orleans for the top spot in the Western Conference.  There is no doubt that the Lakers will look to the help of superstar players Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol to help them secure yet another victory.  Both players have come off strong in the past several games and are noted for contributing to all of the Lakers most recent successes.

The Portland Trailblazers on the other hand have dropped five games in a row and are currently at 25-13 at the Rose Garden this season.  On Sunday the Trailblazers where defeated by the San Antonio Spurs.
