Lakers Clinch Western Conference!

The Los Angeles can now rest easy.  They are officially the best in the West after they trampled the Sacramento Kings last night 124-101.  Pau Gasol reportedly scored 22 points while Kobe Bryant scored 20.  Bryant was quoted on www.bangkokpost.com as saying, “The Western Conference has been brutal all season, so it’s pretty special to have the best record.  It’s an amazing accomplishment for us.”  The Lakers will have the home-court advantage through the first three rounds of the playoffs.  They will find out soon whether they open up on Sunday against hte Denver Nuggets or the Dallas Mavericks.
