Lakers and Hornets in the Top Spots

The Los Angeles Lakers must be proud of this past season on the court.  They currently hold the top spot in the Western Conference even though the New Orleans Hornets can wind up with the same record Los Angeles still has the upper hand with a better conference mark overall.  The Lakers can now enter the playoffs having gone 8-1 to finish the regular season.  Kobe Bryant was quoted was quoted in the Associated Press as saying, “It’s all about momentum.  You want to be playing your best basketball going into the playoffs, and we feel like we’re doing that, so we ened the season exactly where we wanted to.”
