The Portland Trailblazers Make a Stop in Los Angeles

Tonight marks the fourth of a five game homestand for the Los Angeles Lakers as they prepare to host the Portland Trailblazers in Los Angeles.  Currently the L.A. Lakers are a half game ahead of the second-place Phoenix Suns in the Pacific Division standings.  Los Angeles is also currently number three in the West and they are looking to move up their spot to the number one ranking.  After their match-up with the Trailblazers the Lakers will face the Dallas Mavericks on Friday in what will be their final game at home.  The Lakers have recently been bouncing back after their initial couple of loses at home.

Los Angeles has been playing without their star forward Pau Gasol.  Gasol has been sidelined with a sprained left ankle, there is no definite word on when he might return to the court.  Portland has lost two straight and five of its last six at the Lakers, of course it is hard to judge what will happen on the court tonight.  All Lakers fans must tune in to see what goes down on the court.  See this talented team live in action!  Go to stubhub.com and get your very own pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets!

Arrest For Former L.A. Laker

Isaiah Rider, who was a player for the Los Angeles Lakers, was just arrested for auto theft on March 29th in Los Angeles, California.  Rider, allegedly rolled a car through a stop sign in the early hours of the morning, and after being stopped by police, they determined that the vehicle was in fact stolen.  The troubled former basketball star was sent to jail and was given a $25,000 bail.

Rider played for both the Los Angeles Lakers and also for the Minnesota Timberwolves.  He was sentenced last year to seven months in the Marin County jail for kidnapping a women and it was also reported by the celebrity website TMZ.com, that he was also arrested for narcotics possession and evading officers earlier this month.  While Rider may not be faring so well lately, his former team sure is and are fresh off of a win against the Washington Wizards.  Don’t miss your chance to see the Lakers live on the court with your pair of Los Angeles Lakers tickets!
