The Lakers Hold Off the Utah Jazz!

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to hold off the Utah Jazz in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinals series yesterday.  They crushed the Jazz 109-98 and Kobe Bryant helped out with 38 points lent to the game.  There is buzzing going around the stands and throughout the NBA courts that Bryant will be named the league’s Most Valuable Player this week, mainly because all of his contributions that have helped the L.A. Lakers rise to the top during this specific season.

The Jazz could not quite make the shots that mattered during this last match up and they fell to the Los Angeles Lakers, who have certainly proved that they know how to hold their own on the court.  All fans will have to keep a sharp eye on the Lakers as they advance throughout the Western conference.
