Lakers Wrap Up Trip with a Victory

After an upset in Charlotte earlier in the week, the Lakers ended their trip with a 104-98 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday at Bradley Center. The Lakers finished at 5-2 on their longest trip of the season and are within 2 1/2 games of Cleveland for the league’s best record. Kobe Bryant told the L.A. Times, “We had two tough games, but we bounced back from that. We don’t let those losses get past two. It was a good trip.”

After a two-game losing streak the Lakers (59-16) avoided their first three-game losing streak since they acquired Pau Gasol last season. The first three quarters of the game were uneventful, with Bryant joking to the reporters “Y’all look like you need something to write about,” but in the fourth quarter the Lakers outscored the Bucks 24-17 with Gasol scoring eight of his 15 points and Kobe completing a late three-point play that gave them cushion.
