The Chicago Bears are getting the process started to make their new recruits officially Chicago Bears. The new draft recruits were all on hand on Thursday to be fitted for equipment, complete paperwork, get pictures taken and get physicals.
Third round pick Juaquin Iglesias said, “”Once you get drafted, you see your name roll across the screen. But it doesn’t really hit you until you get here. Once you pull up at the gate where it says ‘Chicago Bears,’ that’s when it started hitting me. And I’m happy to be here. I’m excited and I’m just ready to go… It’s like starting all over again, just like when you were a freshman. When I went to Oklahoma, it was the same thing and the same feeling. You don’t really know anything. You’ve got to work your way up to the top, and that’s what I plan on doing.”
The orientation wasn’t just for the nine players chosen in the draft. Joining them were nine undrafted free agents and 25 other players who are trying out. After the rookies are done with the paperwork, pictures, etc., they will all be attending a rookie minicamp this weekend. Get your Chicago Bears tickets from StubHub.com.
